Got everything ready for our Cinco de Monday workday fiesta? 

It's going to be a blast!

The purrfect way to liven up the daily drudge.

So later, when you get home and you're still feeling festive, but want to avoid local establishments like the plague, here's the plan:

1. Download a fun, surreal, possibly totally weird but madly symbolic film that you've never seen. Try anything by Alejandro Jodorowsky, Kenneth Anger, Wim Wenders, Luís Buñuel, Jim Jarmusch, or anyone else you find intriguing.

2. Make this super-easy, ridiculously yummy snack.

Just pick up a bag of organic, non-GMO tortilla chips (I used a beet and corn blend here), some dairy and soy-free shredded cheese (I like Daiya the best if you can find it), ground chipotle pepper, and a few organic tomatoes or your fave clean salsa. When you get home, preheat the oven to 350F, assemble a layer with cheese and spice, and pop it in in the oven for about 10 minutes or until it gets melty. Then do the next layer, etc. Note: Non-dairy cheese will not melt quite like the actual, but it will get soft and gooey, as you can see in the photo. 

This is crazy delicious. Prepare to eat the entire thing.

3. Snuggle up with your favorite creature. Or two.

Have so much fun, mi queridas!

Maybe even mix up another batch of margaritas...?

So what if you're a little sleepy tomorrow.
